Sumedh,
I'm writing this to you not as a father but as a friend.
I won't be typical like, 'Hope everyone at your end is safe!', cause
I know that everyone is safe and healthy.
I'm somehow trying to manage the lingo you use, just to make you feel comfort.
Okay by this comfort, I remembered that you told me once,
you love being in your comfort zone, right? (with a smile)
Well do you know why you do this? This is because you are confused!
Confused with yourself, your life, your surroundings,
maybe everything you are connected with.
(Mockingly)
Always having options strategy for each uncertainty makes feel you more at risk.
The always thinking from others POV (Point-of-View)
about how they may feel if you act in
certain manner or if you don't act in certain manner.
Maybe for picking the best career or self study is better option or
this job has Saturday off but that doesn't or choosing festive wear or
checking through the menu card at restaurant and ultimately you say,
'Aaj teri choice ka khana!!'.
Your job is merely a source of money that sojourns you on your planet.
All I'm saying is it's okay to be not okay. Its okay to be confused.
In fact confusion is the first step towards the journey of something
which you are up to.
You may not believe someone, it counts me as well.
I say this because many believe in me blindly.
I would say they are confused in their own fashion of what are they doing,
without even knowing that they are confused.
When was the last time you are speaking with your own reflection?
It can be literally standing in front of mirror and talking to your reflections.
Though it may sound crazy but very effective.
Listen to that voice.
No one except you can reach there and have a conversation with.
Try making a regular practice of this craziness.
Sometimes it might be very difficult to listen to the voice, like Nike's tag line
JDI (Just Do It!).
Slowly, you will feel content, comfortable, relaxed,
like it was the right thing to be done.
And that really counts.
A good friend once told me:
'most folks seem to think they're right and you're wrong...
They're certainly entitled to think that,
they're entitled to full respect for their opinions'
'before I live with other folks,
I've got to live with myself.'
Inner voice.
By this, i'm not signing off.
I'll be back again...
Yours,
